This powerful clip of American Pastor Cary Gordon is from 2012 and deals with Christians who vote for the “lesser of two evils.”
He specifically addressed those Christians who would vote for the Republican Party in the 2012 election irrespective of the evil in that Party.
Pastor Gordon did not support Donald Trump in 2016 we are glad to report and it surely goes without saying that he did not vote for Hillary Clinton.
He states that they (his hearers) would never vote for Barak Obama because of the evil he had done, and he could never vote for such a man either, but he cannot understand why Christians would overlook evil in the Republican Party and support it whilst condemning Obama’s evil.
He calls such people “hypocrites” and we wholeheartedly agree with the Pastor.
Many Evangelical Christians in Northern Ireland do the same. They vote for a certain Party at every election and it matters not that this Party has abandoned its principles on many issues e.g recently they met with the LGBT lobby and over a year ago they went along with the “pardoning of men who engaged in sodomy” and at least two of their MP’s voted for “buffer zones” outside abortion clinics i.e they voted to make it easier for women to enter abortion clinics free from “harassment” from anti-abortion activists.
Let us never forget that this political Party also made it possible for terrorists to govern Northern Ireland, and, in fact, they are presently desperately trying to get back into power with their supposed “enemies” i.e terrorists, “former” terrorists and their apologists.
In the video below, Pastor Gordon asks the following question,
“What evil does a Republican have to commit before you will stop rewarding them with your support?”
We would ask the Evangelical Christians who vote for the DUP the same question!
17th February, 2018 is the 40th anniversary of the La Mon firebomb massacre. The perpetrators of the horror were the Provisional IRA.
Twelve people lost their lives and 30 were injured.
If ever perpetrators deserved the death penalty, the IRA bombers are such.
The documentary below was made ten years after the massacre but is perhaps the only lengthy documentary available online.
Lest we forget, the names of those who lost their lives that night are as follows,
