Memorial to dead bees – whilst the murdered unborn children are forgotten!

The late Christian Evangelist/singer Keith Green was deeply concerned about the murdered unborn children whose lives were ended by abortion.

In one of his songs, written in 1984, he sings the following words,

“I find it hard to just ignore,

The murdered unborn children…….”

The following article, written by US Pastor Robert McCurry, resonates with Keith’s lyrics.

Dead  bees and dead babies

The  following story appeared in The Oregonian on June 28, 2013 entitled Memorial to honor  50,000 bumble bees that died in Oregon parking lot

Fifty  thousand bumblebees will be honored at a memorial Sunday in the same shopping  center parking lot southwest of the Portland, Oregon, where most of the insects  died earlier this month.

Rozzell  Medina, of Portland, said on a Facebook page that the event will “memorialize  these fallen lifeforms and talk about the plight of the bees and their  importance to life on Earth,” The Oregonian reported.

The  state Department of Agriculture said June 21 that tests on bees and foliage  showed the deaths are “directly related to a pesticide application on linden  trees” that was meant to control aphids.

It  said an investigation is under way to see if the application of the pesticide  Safari, done last Saturday, violated the law.

The  Agriculture Department, the City of Wilsonville, neighboring towns and some  local landscape contractors have covered the sprayed trees with netting in an  effort to prevent further insect deaths, The Oregonian  reported.

The  Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation has upped its estimate of the bee  kill to 50,000. Spokesman Scott Black calls that a very conservative  number.

About  60 people gathered in Wilsonville Sunday for a memorial of the thousands of  bumblebees recently killed by pesticides in a Target parking lot. The group  huddled in the shade outside the Target store. They carried signs lamenting the  lost bees and opposing pesticides. They made prayer flags, and they sang  songs together.

Although  the  Associated Press contributed to this report, it never made the national news.  But who cares?

In  2011, 9573 unborn babies were aborted in Oregon, which is 184 a week, 30 a  day; From January to September 2012 there were 6,296 reported abortions. There was no  Memorial to honor their deaths. But who cares?

Interestingly,  this report never made The Oregonian news. But who  cares?

Nationwide, over 60+ million unborn babies have been killed since  abortion was legalized by the January 22, 1973 Supreme Court ruling – Roe v.  Wade. Today, in this country, an unborn child can be legally killed for any  reason throughout the entire nine months of pregnancy. A baby can be aborted  because he or she is unwanted, inconvenient, possibly imperfect, or even the  wrong sex. Each year, an estimated 1.2+ million babies are killed by abortion –  one baby every 20 seconds.

But who cares about the murder of  babies?

God cares.

Do you?

Hosea  4:6

King  James Version (KJV)

My  people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected  knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing  thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy  children.

  1. Susan

Unfortunately it would appear that your title to this article may be inaccurate.

A child is a human between birth and puberty?  Perhaps you mean a Foetus – which is defined as:
“an unborn or unhatched offspring of a mammal, in particular, an unborn human more than eight weeks after conception.”

The Oxford English Dictionary defines murder as:
“the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another”

Do you really intend to lead people to believe that your article is about the illegal killing of young humans who have been born?  The story that follows does not suggest this.

Perhaps I may suggest a more accurate title for this post:

“memorial to dead bees whilst the aborted foetuses are forgotten”

You wouldn’t want to mislead people now Susan, would you?

  2. How many memorials are there to women who died giving birth to g…….. unwanted babies that killed them because they could not abort them because of people like you? ……………………………………………

    WELL??????

YOU ARE SICK EVIL WICKED HATEFUL PEOPLE !!!!!!

  3. Life begins at conception. Sonograms back up that claim. Abortion is murder.
Poor Americans; if only you comprehended the appalling fate that lay in store for you. Nobody defies the Lord God and gets away with it.

  4. BTW I live here in Portland, Oregon and can testify to the warped logic that pervades this area. Mourn dead insects and be proud of the deaths of children.

A few facts about Portland, Oregon:
    1) It has the highest concentration of Lesbians of any USA city.
    2) Until recently, Portland had the highest number of sex shops and strip clubs of any USA city.
    3) It has a huge homeless population. In fact the Sodom loving cities of San Francisco and Seattle have a large number of homeless too. This was the sin of Sodom: they were well fed, arrogant and they stepped on the poor. They also did detestable things.
