Policy makers, public nudity, and lowering the age of consent from 16 to 14!

The No.10 Policy Unit of the British Government were recently tasked with finding new ways of giving the public more personal freedoms. Among the very “suggestive” suggestions they came up with are these two,

1. Lowering the age of consent for sexual activity from 16 to 14      AND,
2.The reform of nudity laws which would allow men and women to be naked in public without fear of prosecution!

The Prime Minister, David Cameron has rejected the suggestion that the age of consent be lowered. A spokesman said, “It is not something that the PM is considering.”
However, sources said that reforms to nudity laws were still being considered!

Who are the people in the No.10 Policy Unit which is run by the Civil Service.  Here follows the Roll of Shame.

Our society is doomed! We are governed (in the main) by Socialist sexual revolutionaries who have declared war on Biblical morality and laws.
They want to set society adrift from its Biblical moorings. However, they are faced down by those “troublesome”  people who continue to declare “Thou shalt not…” i.e true Christians. So, they framed mischievous laws to silence the opposition, and the penalties for opposing wicked laws will become ever more severe.

Sexual revolutionaries seek nothing less than a society where public nudity and public sex is the “norm” and,  by suggesting a reform of laws that provide some restraint on sexual lawlessness, the No.10 Policy Unit “suggestions” clearly show that the sexual revolutionaries are at the very heart of our Government!

    Can you supply some evidence for this please or is just some fantasy of yours. You are the only person who mentioned public sex.

    Something along the lines of a pointer to the sexual revolutionaries group, their manifesto etc. would be a good start. Or are these sexual revolutionaries simply the general public who don’t subscribe to your puritanical, biblical worldview.

    Laws are laws it is your choice whether you obey them or not and I have yet to see much success in opposing anything with “Thou shalt not” as it’s sole justification,

      I read with interest your comment in the above post that “the penalties for opposing wicked laws will become ever more severe.”. This suggests to me that you and others intend to break laws they don’t agree with. I would suggest you read your holy book carefully and reconsider as it appears it is not only mans judgement you should fear according to your book. Perhaps Davy Tweed and others you have recently mentioned as bein imprisoned have felt the out working of these words. The words I am referring to are contained in Romans 13 and I repeat them below for your convenience:

      1 Obey the government, for God is the one who put it there. All governments have been placed in power by God.
      2 So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow.
      3 For the authorities do not frighten people who are doing right, but they frighten those who do wrong. So do what they say, and you will get along well.
      4 The authorities are sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for you will be punished. The authorities are established by God for that very purpose, to punish those who do wrong.
      5 So you must obey the government for two reasons: to keep from being punished and to keep a clear conscience.
      6 Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid so they can keep on doing the work God intended them to do.

      • The Scripture also points out that when man’s laws conflict with God’s laws, then, “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29). This is why in Nazi Germany Christians were not bound by man’s law to turn over Jews to be executed.

      • The apostle Paul was a great deal cleverer than you seem to imagine.

        Paul was writing to the saints, but in the knowledge that what he wrote would very likely get back to Caesar. He set out what, centuries later, atheistic man called the “social contract”, if you like, albeit with God in the picture, as the author of the social contract.

        The government’s duty, to God, was to ensure that

        1. the authorities do not frighten people who are doing right
        2. the authorities do frighten those who do wrong
        3. the authorities help well-behaved people
        4. people who are doing something wrong need to be afraid of the authorities (but not others)
        5. the authorities punish those who do wrong (but not those who do right)
        6. people who obey the authorities will keep a clear conscience (because their legal obligations and their moral obligations coincide)

        The saints’ duty to God was to make the job of a government like that job, a pleasure, by slavish obedience.

        Unfortunately, most of the Roman emperors have failed to do their duty to God, to a greater or lesser extent depriving themselves of the benefits of having the support and obedience of the saints amongst the populations they have misgoverned.

        Depressingly often, governments

        1. frighten people who are doing right
        2. do not frighten those who do wrong
        3. help villains, and hinder well-behaved people
        4. give people who are doing wrong no need to be afraid of the authorities, but terrorise people who are doing nothing wrong
        5. fail to punish those who do wrong, but punish those who do right
        6. ask people to do things that give them a guilty conscience (because legal obligations and moral obligations are at loggerheads).

        Christians can be terribly bolshy, under governments like that, I’m glad to say.

      • Glenn, you have told us that there are no contradictions in the bible, here seems to one.

        As for what christians did in the war I think you will find quite a few followed man’s law (but I guess you will tell me they were not true christians).

        The problem with man’s law is of course that it is only as good as the lawmakers and the society which gives lawmakers their authority. That is an evolving scenario and one which is evolving for the better maximising personal freedom and enforcing protection from others beliefs. One thing is self evident though is give lawmaking over to the religious extremists and you end up with Iran or Saudi Arabia. A christian version of which would be no better (evidenced by MrandMrsWhite, Glenn and their friend pastor Lively’s view of what should be criminalised).

          You have yet to show how it is “contradictory” to say we must obey the laws of the land, but with a caveat that it the laws violate God’s laws, then we are not to obey them? It is an exception – not a contradiction. you do know the difference, don’t you?

  2. Despite these comments – it is The Ten Commandments which are being rejected by our society
    and indeed by churches which have become antinomian. Naomi Long MP of east Belfast is a case in point. She professes membership of Bloomfield PC and yet has indicated her support for SSM in parliament. It is time for Christians and pastors to Awake !

    • Society has only rejected those commandments which are nonsensical, I have not seen the laws on murder and stealing being rejected. As for Naomi Long she is as entitled to her views as you are – I wish your churches actually did throw out anyone who disagreed with them as they would be much smaller and have much less money to carry out their prejudiced and bigoted agenda.

    • Mr.Allman, we don’t understand what these numbers represent. Please clarify. Regarding your post about Mrs.Halappanavar,it appears she died of Septicaemia and E.coli and she may have been an ill woman on admission to hospital.

      • In mathematics, the expression in the headline, 14!, means the factorial of 14, which is 14 * 13 *12 *11 * 10 * 9 * 8 * 7 * 6 * 5 * 4 *3 *2 *1 which works to be 87,178,291,200.

  3. Susan, the age of consent in a country has traditionally been linked to culture and age expectancy. That is why the age of consent in Spain for girls is a ridiculously low 13 – the reason for this one example is that the Spanish have always taken into consideration the large traditional gypsy communities that have lived in Spain for centuries. They marry very young because the women died young, almost always in childbirth. The age of consent in the UK was once 14 but raised as women lived longer and females had access to further education thus had more choice in life other than to marry and breed. The age of consent will not be lowered in the UK any time soon because there is too much focus on ‘childhood’ these days – don’t worry about it, it wont happen. We all know that just because a girl is menstruating at 12 does not mean she is emotionally and fully physically mature enough for sex and child bearing – the numbers of child-brides who die in agonisingly long labours in Islamic countries like Yemen and Sudan is some proof of this. A female does not achieve pelvic maturity until she nears 18 years of age.

    • I think you’ll find that a woman is ready for childbearing between 13-14 years of age. That is how the body is designed. In centuries past children were raised to be adults, and young men at 16 were marrying young women of 14 and starting homes, working farms, and even running kingdoms.

      Even in my parents’ culture in the late 1940s, it was common for 18 year-old-men to marry 16-year-old women in most states, and in some states consent for marriage was 14 (and the last I knew some southern states still have that as consent age).

      As society became more pleasure-oriented, with labor becoming more and more automated, children are raised to be children. That’s why most of our teens still behave as grade-schoolers when they should be acting like young men and women. A huge percentage of our young people are still behaving as children until their mid-20s as the party life away.

      Physically, there is nothing at all wrong with sexual relations at 14; the human body is ready and able by then in most cases (of course, there are always exceptions as some people don’t physically mature as early as others) because, as noted, we are designed that way. (which is why young men and women have their hormones raging for sex).

      Since culture has kept young people as children, they are no longer emotionally or intellectually mature enough to make proper decisions about sexual activity. Which is why they started making laws about age of consent. What is interesting is that even today some countries have consent as young as 12, and most females have not reached puberty at that age so that is certainly problematic just from a biological point.

      The idea that age of consent had to do with lifespan is made up out of whole cloth. Read a little history once in a while so as not to isloate the reasons to one countrie’s culture (which I seriously doubt is the reason any way).

      The only way we should be lowering the age of consent is if we go back to raising our children to be adults so that they can make mature decsions – and that will never happen.
